home work 31
talking to my mom I asked her , witch one she used. She told me that she didnt think she was missing any thing big , like a father or a mother because growing up she had both living with her and her brother. She said but she did feel that her emptiness came form trying to keep up with or be ahead of all her peers when she was a teen growing up in harlem in the 1980's. " when i was growing thats when the hip hop movement started , so you had to know the words tothis one song, you had to have this one name brand on your sweatsuit, or your hair done this one way. It was so many standers you had to meet living in harlem in the '80's ". she tells me she was happy that her family had the money to keep her up to all the standers but she felt that some times she wanted to be different from the rest , she wanted to listen to a song that every one didnt know , she wanted to wear a different brand of sweatsuit, she want to change the way she wore her hair, but she didnt because she thought that othere people wouldn't understand, she say " they wouldn't like change and i cared to much about what other people thought when i was a teen, and thats wear i think my emptiness came from". So she just covered up her emptiness by doing what every one was doing and being really good at it .
